After the introduction of the Millionaire Bay Area Special 100 and 200BB two years ago, they built an enviable reputation as the toughest round baitcasters on the market. In 2007 Daiwa now introduce the new 300 size that has a larger line capacity to take on even stronger fish.

Built using the famous Millionaire design the Blue Backer reels are built to be resistant to saltwater by using CRBB bearings, Centriflex cast control and a hard anodized corrosion resistant body.

Not often seen in baitcasters this size is the synchronized levelwind (except 100 size) which is driven even when the reel is in free spool discharging the line smoothly. Ideally suited for heavy braid fishing for hard striking fish this system avoids line dig thus eliminating the possibility of snapping the line off at the spool.

For extra cranking power the Blue Backer features ultra strong phosphor bronze main and pinion gears and is backed up by a 7 element hyper tournament wet drag system that delivers 7kgs of drag with ease. The extra long 90mm handle on the 200 and 300 sizes has oversized large soft coat power grips to allow for increased cranking power to move fish away from structure quickly with minimal ease.
